Youth sports teams and leagues
One of our customers, a youth baseball league in Florida, needed to raise $20,000 to repair their baseball fields and buy new equipment. Their athletic committee all agreed that their baseball fields were in need of repair, their teams needed new equipment, and practicing under the lights at night was becoming cost prohibitive. In these tough economic times, the athletic committee couldn’t ask the league for money, so they began researching different little league fundraising ideas to help offset their sports operation costs. They ended up choosing BaseballMania to raise the money they needed.
The safety of the baseball players in the league was the athletic committee’s main priority. Raising money to practice at night would have to wait until next year. So they looked for unique sports fundraising options to raise money for new athletic equipment and to repair their weathered baseball fields. The athletic committee estimated it would take about $25,000 to begin making their league improvements and that each team in their 10-team league would need to raise approximately $2,500.
The little league committee searched online and landed on the CharityMania website. After contacting CharityMania with their questions, they selected BaseballMania because the little league was tired of doing the traditional types of candy and pizza fundraisers. BaseballMania was exciting, different, and was a more sophisticated fundraiser that could appeal to wider market. The little league committee knew upfront exactly how much each baseball team would need to sell to hit their fundraising goal and they could do it by targeting people both inside and outside their little league baseball network.
The little league made $14 in profit with each CharityMania ticket sale. They promoted the fundraiser to all the families within the league, all their local businesses and restaurants and during each baseball game at their fields. The little league generated so much excitement with the fundraiser that each team was able to sell over 200 tickets. In their 10-team league, that meant that the league made sold over 2,000 tickets and were able to exceed their $25,000 fundraising goal by over $3,000!
What the customer had to say...
“We were so excited to have found CharityMania on the web. They offer the perfect type of sports fundraisers for our little league. We felt comfortable working with them knowing that they have been helping youth sports teams and baseball little leagues like us for over 16 years. Our little league was very happy with our fundraising results and many members of our league are having fun playing along with the fundraiser each week. The BaseballMania fundraiser gave us the means to fix our baseball fields and to provide new equipment for each team in our league. Now we can’t wait for next year’s fundraising season…and the opportunity to shed some much needed light on our practicing players!”

Churches and youth groups
Catholic church and school just outside of Chicago was growing too large for the portable building that they used
for all youth activities. So the church decided it was finally time to build the youth group their own activities center
and they began researching different fundraising ideas that would help them accomplish their goal.
Considering the scale of the project, the church and youth group needed to look for unique and profitable fundraisers that could expand their fundraising reach outside their immediate area. They estimated it would take about $50,000 to begin construction. They would not only need to ask for contributions from their entire Catholic church and school network, but they would also need to raise money within their greater community to begin the expansion.
Read how FootballMania helped them reach their goals.
A church parishioner heard they were looking for an easy and profitable fundraiser and they told them about CharityMania. They participated in a CharityMania fundraiser in the past and thought it would be a great way for their church and youth group to raise money. The church’s building committee evaluated FootballMania and thought it was just what they needed to get their new activities center project underway. FootballMania was different from many traditional types of fundraisers they had done in the past. Best of all, they knew upfront exactly how much they would need to sell to hit their fundraising goal.
The results...
With the FootballMania fundraiser, the church and youth group made $14 in profit with each sale. They reached out to their Catholic parishioners, the families within their school, their local businesses and all the restaurants in their area. After promoting the fundraiser, the church was thrilled to have sold over 4,500 tickets. That brought their fundraising grand total to over $63,000 in profit, exceeding their goal by $13,000!
What the customer had to say...
“It is great to work with a fundraising company that has been helping churches, Catholic schools and youth groups like us for over 16 years. They were responsive, reliable and our church and youth group were very happy with our fundraising results. Our ticket holders are having a great time playing along with the fundraiser and checking the status of their ticket online each week to see if they are winners. Fundraising with FootballMania allowed our church to quickly break ground on an activities center that will benefit our entire Christian community. We are already looking forward to next year’s fundraising season…and the next phase of our construction project!”

Schools of all sizes
Due to the recent budget cuts in education in California, an elementary school in Los Angeles was worried about having enough money in their school budget to continue funding their music and art programs. In the past, music and art have traditionally been the first programs cut during a school budget crisis. So a group of dedicated parents began working with the PTO to research some school fundraising ideas that would help keep the music playing and the artists drawing at their school.
Based on last year’s budget figures, they estimated that it would take about $4,000 to keep the programs going for the entire year. Read how the PTO and the parents used HoopsMania to exceed their fundraising goals.
The PTO and parent group looked for fundraising ideas that were different from the traditional types of school fundraisers that they have used in the past. They talked with other elementary, middle, and high schools and asked them for their fundraising recommendations. One school recommended CharityMania’s unique fundraising programs. After doing some research, the committee thought the HoopsMania fundraiser would be a perfect option for them. It was different from anything else the school had done in the past. And because it was based on college basketball, it was just what they needed to get everyone involved and excited about this fundraising project.
The results...
All the members of the PTO board, the parent group, and the teachers in the art and music department at the school were determined to sell 20 tickets each. They had about 35 people promoting the HoopsMania fundraiser to friends, family, neighbors and co-workers. They knew they would make 70% on every $10 ticket sale. After all their hard fundraising work was done, the committee was thrilled to have sold over 650 tickets and raiser over $4200! The school art and music programs were saved!
What the customer had to say...
“We were so excited to learn about CharityMania’s unique fundraising programs. They were very helpful in answering all our questions about how their fundraisers could benefit our school. We knew it would be a good choice for us, simply because it was so different from anything our school had done in the past. The folks we had promoting the fundraiser thought it was an easy sell and we received a lot of positive feedback from our ticket holders that played along with the game. We look forward to fundraising with CharityMania again in the future, but hopefully not because our school needs to save yet another program from the budget chopping block!“

"We raised over $23,000... 3 times as much as any other fundraiser we have ever done. We are using the money to fund the first dedicated wrestling room our program has ever had. We will definitely use CharityMania in the future." - Miamisburg Wrestling, OH
"CharityMania has totally changed the direction of the fundraising efforts at our school. Gone are the wrapping paper and candy fundraisers. In 3 years we have profited an amazing $150,000. We will absolutely continue to partner with them in the future." - St. Jerome School, IL
|
"CharityMania was by far one of the easiest fundraisers we have ever done. As a small school, we have never been able to sell 500 of anything. But we did for this fundraiser! This is one fundraiser we will be sure to repeat." - St. Agnes School, PA
“Our school has been with CharityMania for the past 6 years. Their fundraisers are a great and easy way to raise money. We were actually able to eliminate five other fundraisers and only conduct one fundraiser (FootballMania) each year. Thank you CharityMania!" -Sacred Heart Elementary, CA
|
"FootballMania is the easiest fundraiser we have ever done. We have gained over $24,000 and the best part is you don't need to know anything about football to win!" - St. Dismas Parish, IL
"We now only have to run one fundraiser, FootballMania, rather than 10 small fundraisers like cookie dough, candles, and scratchers." - A grammar school in Maryland
