CharityMania - unique fundraising ideas

BaseballMania 10 week An exciting sweepstakes based on professional baseball!
How the fundraiser works

Music Downloads and Sweepstakes Game Cards… a winning combination!
To raise money, you sell CharityMania Tickets for $10 and keep 65% of the money you collect. Ticket holders receive a great collection of digital music downloads (read why the music is important for this fundraiser), and they are entered into the BaseballMania sweepstakes where they can win $1000s in cash prizes based on the results of the baseball teams printed on their sweepstakes game cards.

The Sweepstakes Game Card... the fundraiser’s secret sauce
All sweepstakes game cards have an equal chance to win prize money based on the performance of the random baseball teams printed on the back. Game cards contain 3 random teams in each of the 10 weeks of the BaseballMania season (you get 3 new teams each week). Our Spring game is during the first 10 weeks of the professional baseball season, and our Summer game is during the last 10 weeks of the season. To play, participants simply add up the runs scored by their 3 teams. Every week, the 10 highest scoring game cards, and the 4 lowest scoring game cards all win prizes. Watch our short video for the best explanation of the game.

Sweepstakes prizes

Game cards have 10 chances to win a prize... a new chance in each of the 10 weeks of the sweepstakes! Every week, the 10 highest scoring game cards, and the 4 lowest scoring cards, all win prizes. In addition, two grand prizes are awarded at the end of the season. There are 4,060 unique game cards, each of which has a minimum 1 in 29 chance to win a prize during the season.

Each week CharityMania calculates the winning game cards. We then send you the prize money so that you can send it to the winners with a personalized letter thanking them for their support. CharityMania also posts the winning game card numbers on the website each week so that participants can see if they’ve won. If your organization wants more winners, we also offer an optional Guaranteed Winners Program that will award a prize to your organization’s highest scoring card each week.

What CharityMania does for you

Provides you with both paper and electronic tickets
To raise money, you sell paper or electronic CharityMania tickets (or both). We sell the paper tickets for 15¢ per ticket plus shipping and a $10 handling fee per order. You can purchase as many paper tickets as you need, and they are delivered within about 5-10 business days. With our complimentary electronic ticket program, you can sell tickets entirely online and reach out to potential donors beyond your local community.

Maintains the online library of digital entertainment
CharityMania maintains and updates the CharityStudio with the digital music, books and other entertainment items. Anyone who purchases the CharityMania Ticket can access this digital entertainment online. This means there is no inventory for you to manage or fulfill. Read why the music downloads are important for this fundraiser.

Provides you the website that helps you manage your fundraiser online
CharityMania provides your organization with a secure website (more details) that allows you to manage every aspect of your fundraiser. With this website, you will indicate which tickets have been sold and you can find out which tickets have won. You can also access promotional handouts, banners and posters that we have put together to help your organization promote the fundraiser easily and effectively.

Calculates winners and pays you the prize money
Each week CharityMania calculates the winning sweepstakes game cards and tells you which are winners. We then send you the prize money so that you can send it to your winners. Winning sweepstakes game card numbers are posted on the website each week so that participants can see if they’ve won. For more details about how and when payments are made during the fundraiser, view our Financial Flowchart.
